Bardia National Park is a bit hard to access and also far form major tourist hubs; Kathmandu and Pokhara which is the main reason for Bardia not visited by many tourists. This wildlife reserve is home of many endangered animals such as Bengal tiger, wild elephant, rhinoceros, swamp deer, black-buck, Gharial crocodile, marsh mugger crocodile and Gangetic dolphin. Bardia region; the headquarter of many animals contains eight types of ecosystems. Bardia Wildlife Reserve is also home of many birds numbering at least 407.
