Cho Oyu Climbing

Cho Oyu is an eight thousand meter peak (8,201M / 26,906FT) and sixth highest peak in the world; named Turquoise Goddess by Tibetan people. Cho Oyu Expedition is considered as one of the easiest 8000M+ climbing in the world thus is also one of the most climbed expedition peak in Nepal. This is the most recommended peak for mountaineers interested to scale a mountain higher than 8000M. This expedition is also considered as preparation for potential Everest expedition due to various reasons. Being one of the beautiful mountains also in Tibet, this expedition trip will give you glimpse of Tibetan culture and traditions. Even Cho Oyu is a peak situated in Nepal, the climbing preparation and whole climbing process is done from Tibet. Lhakpa RI Peak Climbing

Situated on the opposite of Everest North Face, Lhakpa RI Peak (7,045M / 23,113FT) is known as easier cousin of world's tallest point; Mount Everest. Lhakpa RI Peak climbing is known as one of the easiest above 7,000M peak climbing. Lhakpa RI Peak divides Rongbuk and Kharta Glaciers in Tibetan plateau. The trail from Rongbuk Monastery heads towards Advance Base Camp at an altitude of (6,350M / 20,833FT) crossing the popular Friendship Highway; Tibet. Here we will be sitting below North Col (7,000M / 22,965FT). Lhakpa RI Peak was climbed for the first time on 1921 by George Mallory and team, since then a lot of climbers have touched the summit. We will follow Kathmandu- Zhangmu – Nyalam - Tingri and Everest Base Camp - Lhakpa Ri Base Camp (5200M / 17,060FT) - Summit following Friendship Highway. As we will be reaching high altitude within few days, proper acclimatization is very important for everyone. Climbers with previous climbing experiences and technical knowledge of using ropes and ice axes will find the Lhakpa RI Climbing pretty feasible. Lhakpa RI Expedition can be taken as high altitude difficult trekking. Lhakpa RI is featured in Lucy Walker's popular documentary, 'Blind sight: Himalayas - The Summit of Happiness'. Day 08-09: Drive to Xegar, rest and exploration, day hikes around Xegar

Day 10: Drive to Everest Base Camp (North Face) (5,200M)

Day 11-13: Acclimatisation and local exploration around Everest Base Camp

Day 14: Trek from Everest Base Camp to Japanese Camp (5,460M / 17,913FT)

Day 15: Trek to Interim Camp (5,800M / 19,028FT)

Day 16: Trek from Interim Base Camp to Changtse Base Camp (5,950M / 19,520FT)

Day 17: Trek from Changtse Base Camp to Advance Base Camp (6,350M)

Day 18-19: Rest and Acclimatisation at Advance Base Camp

Day 20: Trek to Halfway Camp, exploration

Day 21: Summit of Lhakpa Ri (7045M / 23,113FT) and return back to Everest ABC

Day 22: Rest / contingency / buffer day in case of weather bugs / disturbances

Day 23: Back to Everest Base Camp (North face)

Day 24: Drive to Nyalam

Day 45: Drive back to Kathmandu
