Supporting Information

Experience Required

Tsum Valley Trek is a moderate level trekking in the Manaslu region. Since the trekking route is newly developed, the trails are narrow in several places. A trekker with some previous experience is expected for the best experience. The trek is an adventurous trekking route which is suitable for experienced trekkers only.

Since the trek is a newly developed route, only basic meals are available. In most places, the meals are prepared by local people using the locally available ingredients. The meals will be basic in standard comparing to other popular routes in Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang. We recommended our valuable guests to keep their expectations in low to avoid disappointments on the trek.

Local lodges and homestay facilities are available along the trek. The lodges are basic in standard but will give cozy experiences to the trekkers. Generally, there will be no facilities available inside the rooms. A small room with a small bed will be provided on the whole journey.

Best Season

March - May, and September - December is considered as the best time to do the Tsum Valley Trek. Even though the trek can be done almost throughout the year, monsoon season (June - August) and winter (January - February) is not recommended. The views are generally great throughout the year.

Trip Hightlights

Tsum Valley is a newly explored and newly developed trekking route opened for foreigners only a few years back. The trek is a beautiful blend of culture, traditions, valleys and the spectacular views. The trek is famous for several Buddhist monasteries, beautiful villages, traditional cultures etc. This trek is suitable for people looking for peaceful trekking experiences away from crowded routes.
