With the aspiring beauty of Annapurna Himalayas together with green forests, settlements in the remote cliffs and isolated hamlets Annapurna Circuit Trek is a pure example of the beauty of nature. The new road construction till Manang valley made the trekking trail look ugly however the tremendous nature and breathtaking Himalayan peaks still looks spectacular. Supporting Information

Experience Required

Annapurna Circuit Trek is a moderate to difficult level trekking route starting from Besisahar and ending in Jomsom. This itinerary is the shorter version of original Annapurna Circuit trail starting from Besisahar and ending in Nayapul. This trekking is slightly longer trek that required high effort every day to complete the route. Both in terms of Altitude and Trail, the trek is quite difficult for most trekkers.

Trekking to Annapurna Circuit involves the crossing of Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 5,416M / 17,769FT which can cause altitude sickness to travelers from sea level. An easy, gentle and slow ascending is recommended to reduce the chances of altitude sickness. The trail is wide, clear and astounding due to several factors. Annapurna Circuit Trek is a scenic trekking route that makes you feel the trail less tiring. The trail, especially after Manang, is easier in comparison but as you will be walking in high altitude area, short of breathing, fast heartbeat, continuous tired feeling etc. can occur.

Annapurna Circuit Trek is an enjoyable trekking route, it's a decent trekking experience however numerous hours of walking and high altitude can make the trail hard to many people. One of the highest trekking passes of the world; Thorong La Pass is also a difficult point for many trekkers. Phedi to Muktinath requires long hours of walking without proper meals and any rest places along the way. Even though Annapurna Circuit Trek is a moderate to the difficult level trail, people with previous trekking experiences especially in the high altitude will find the route quite normal/average.

Meals on the Trek

Basic meals are available in tea houses during the whole trek. These meals are prepared on time are there are very rare cases of meals not being fresh in the mountains. Various meals including noodles, soups, handmade bread, rice items, curries, spaghetti, pizza, egg items, potatoes are served on the trek.

Please do not expect western meals prepared in the remote villages similar to the one you may eat in your home or restaurants in western countries. Annapurna Circuit Trek is relatively one of the oldest trekking routes and tea houses are well developed that means the quality of the meals will be high compared to newly opened trekking routes. Meals are served in a wide range during the trek.

Even in highest places like Phedi, Yak Kharka and High Camp have an extensive menu that serves numerous items for trekkers. Some places like Manang has well-established hotels standard lodges. You will be served 3 meals a day; i.e. breakfast, lunch, and dinner with hot drinks on the trek. Generally, dinner and breakfast are served in a lodge and lunch is served during the trek. You will have full options or freedom to select your preferred items from a small menu provided by the lodge. Meals in the mountain tastes awesome as raw materials are also freshly prepared in most of the cases.

Breakfasts are included even in Kathmandu at your hotel. You will have a menu to select your meal or foods will be served in buffet system. The hotel itself will select the appropriate method depending on the volume of customers.

Accommodation in Kathmandu will be a standard hotel. We will accommodate you in 3-star category hotel. You will be accommodated in an air-conditioned room. We provide one double room for two customers ( unless you are a single customer ). These rooms will have either master bed or two single beds. If you have a special preference for bed selection then please inform us in advance, we will try to book the room appropriate for your stay.

We provide twin sharing rooms for your holiday. Annapurna Circuit Trek is a well-established trekking route that has numerous accommodation options in every village. Most places have several lodges for accommodation. Places like Phedi and High Camp has less number of lodges comparing to lower villages. Lodges in higher areas sometimes run out of available rooms for every trekker and ask trekkers to share the rooms (similar sex) and we seek your cooperating during the hard times. However, the guide will be trying his best all the time to ensure you a private room during the trek.

Booking is only available to trekkers traveling in big groups. The lodges will be equipped with basic/cozy rooms. We recommend you to have your own sleeping bag although lodges in high altitude areas supply blankets inside the room. No luxury accommodation is available on this trek. Most rooms are equipped with twin rooms although sometimes 1 big bed is available upon request. Even on the trekking one room will be accommodating two trekkers unless you are single trekker.

If you are a single trekker then sometimes you may need to share your room with someone else in rare, let's say very rare cases ( same-sex or very rare cases with opposite sex). Even if you are traveling in a group and prefer single room then upon paying single supplement charges we will try our best to provide you single rooms. If we are unable to provide single rooms then we will refund your single supplement charges.
