Yes, Island Peak climbing is going to be tough work. A person who is able to walk 7 – 8 hours each day can join our adventures. Not to forget, a lot of our climbers are novice travelers as well. Fitness level matters a lot more than the experience in this program. A physically and mentally fit person has more chances to make it to the summit.
It’s advised not to plan this climbing with kids below 12 years. Specially the climbing part is a tough one and the kids might not be able to tolerate it or make it all the way to the summit.
We have very experienced guides at the company. We have guides experienced for at least 7 years to 22 years. All our guides are the Ministry of Tourism trained and licensed by the Nepal Government.
A great adventure, wonderful company. Happy to recommend to everyone.
