2. Scope of Services
Himalayan Leisure Inc. P. Ltd. provides the following services:
Trekking (tea-house & camping)
Peak Climbing & Mountaineering Expeditions
Sightseeing & Cultural Tours
Adventure Tours
Safari Tours
Helicopter Tours
Custom & Private Trips
Each trip’s inclusions, exclusions, services, and facilities are clearly mentioned on the respective tour detail pages.
3. Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only after receiving the required deposit or full payment (where applicable).
By making a booking, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
Some tours require 100% payment upfront, which is clearly mentioned during the booking and checkout process.
4. Payment Policy
Deposit: 20% of the total trip cost (unless otherwise stated).
Balance Payment: Payable on arrival in Nepal. Installment payments are accepted upon mutual agreement.
Currency Preference: USD or EUR is preferred.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Credit / Debit Cards (USD or EUR only)
Bank Transfer
Cash (foreign currencies accepted by Nepal Rastra Bank)
Transaction Fees:
Himalayan Leisure covers card/bank processing fees for deposit payments.
Clients are responsible for any bank or card processing fees for balance payments.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation terms are clearly mentioned on each tour’s detail page and checkout page.
Deposits are refundable only if cancellation is made within the timeframe mentioned for that specific tour.
After the stated period, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
The company reserves the right to deduct prepaid and non-recoverable expenses including (but not limited to):
Trekking or climbing permits
Peak permits
Domestic flights
Hotel bookings
Government or third-party fees
Unused services, early departure, or unused days are non-refundable and non-transferable.
6. Itinerary Changes & Trip Delays
The company reserves the right to modify itineraries due to safety, weather, road conditions, strikes, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Any itinerary change will be made in coordination with the client, where possible.
Additional costs arising from such changes (extra accommodation, meals, transport, flights, etc.) are the client’s responsibility.
7. Age Limits & Fitness Requirements
Trekking: Minimum age 6 years (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). No upper age limit.
Peak Climbing: Minimum age 16 years.
Clients must be physically and mentally fit for the chosen activity.
The company reserves the right to remove a participant from the trip for safety or health reasons.
In such cases, refunds will be made after deducting expenses already paid.
8. Health & Travel Insurance
Trekking: Travel insurance is highly recommended.
Climbing & Expeditions: Travel insurance is mandatory.
Insurance must cover:
High-altitude trekking or mountaineering
Emergency helicopter evacuation
Medical treatment
If a client is unable to provide valid insurance:
All evacuation, rescue, and medical costs are entirely the client’s responsibility.
In cases where insurance requires the client to pay first and claim later, the company will not cover any advance payments.
9. Emergency, Rescue & Evacuation
In emergency situations, the guide will coordinate with the company (if contactable) and the client.
Decisions regarding evacuation will be made prioritizing client safety.
All rescue, evacuation, and medical expenses are borne by the client, as outlined in Section 8.
10. Liability & Risk Acceptance
Trekking, climbing, and adventure activities involve inherent risks.
Himalayan Leisure Inc. P. Ltd., its staff, guides, and partners are not liable for:
Injury, illness, or death
Loss or damage of personal property
Delays or changes caused by weather, natural disasters, strikes, or third parties
Any services or expenses not explicitly mentioned in the booked itinerary are the client’s responsibility.
11. Force Majeure
In events beyond the company’s control (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, flight cancellations, etc.):
No refund will be provided if the issue is not caused by the company or its staff.
If the issue is caused by the company or its staff, clients will be offered:
A refund, or
Free rescheduling, or
Credit for future trips
12. Accommodation & Transport
Accommodation standards and transport arrangements are mentioned on individual tour pages.
Room sharing is twin sharing by default.
Single rooms are provided when available or upon payment of a single supplement.
In high-altitude areas, single rooms may not always be available due to limited facilities.
13. Photography & Media Usage
Himalayan Leisure Inc. P. Ltd. reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during trips for:
Website
Social media
Brochures
YouTube and other marketing materials
Clients who do not wish their images to be used must inform the company before the trip begins, in writing.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Nepal.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Kathmandu courts.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Booking Terms & Conditions.
