This is an easy trekking route, expect no troubles. This trek is suitable for families with kids and young children, this trek is also a great option for people with very limited time. This is a tea house trek. We will be eating and sleeping in the lodges on Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5. Even if you are not physically very fit you are welcome to give it a try. Our guides will assist you at the best to make sure your holiday is enjoyable and you enjoy your traveling with us.
Welcome to the city of temples and the country of Himalayas. Our airport representative will be waiting for your arrival with a name card written your name. We will transfer you to the hotel. We will introduce you with the tour leader and have a short meeting about the tour. (No meals)
We will take breakfast at our hotel and catch our bus to Pokhara. This is approximately 8 hours drive through the beautiful hillsides, the towering Himalayas and thundering rivers, and pilgrimages alongside the road. In the evening, we will be visiting the lakeside area if time permits.
It is recommended to fly to Pokhara if you are looking for a comfortable way of traveling. It’s about 20-25 minutes of flight. (Breakfast)
Our journey will start with a beautiful countryside drive to Kande. It will be a scenic drive with beautiful views of the Annapurna Himalayan range. The trail starts with a steep ascent for about 30 – 40 minutes then continues on the flat trail. We will be walking approximately 3/4 hours at a slow pace. Australian camp is a beautiful place with glamorous views of the horizon. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Enjoy breakfast witnessing some of the most beautiful mountains in the world before we start our trek to Pothana (1,890M), Pitam Deurali (2,100M) and finally to Landruk. Starting of the trail is mostly flat with some gentle climbing. The trail is mostly flat until Deurali and then it descends to Landruk through the forests or Rhododendron, Pine and Oaks. From Landruk we can see our next destination; Ghandruk. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This is probably the hardest day among all days. On the first part of the journey, we will descend approximately 1 ½ hour towards Modi Khola. On the second part, we will cross the bridge and then start ascending to Ghandruk village. It takes approximately 3-4 hours to reach Ghandruk village from the river. It’s a beautiful walk with great views of Machhapuchhre Peak. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Here we have another easy day. The trail is downhill all the way to Siwai. We follow beautiful rice paddies and amazing villages of Gurung people. We will catch our transport and drive to Nayapul for lunch. After lunch, we will continue to Pokhara for overnight stay. Our evening is free to explore the lakeside area and to enjoy the sunset from the lake. (Breakfast, Lunch)
We will follow the same highway through beautiful rivers, hills and small Nepalese settlements. The drive will take about 8 hours to drop us in Kathmandu. Form the tourist bus park you will be transferred to the hotel. In the evening you can explore the town probably buying souvenirs for friends and family members. (Breakfast)
We will drive you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your flight time. The airport is small and has only 1 terminal. It’s time to say goodbye until we meet again! (Breakfast)
Our prices are different based on a number of people traveling together. The per pax price varies based on the total number of people traveling together in the same group. For example, the price for 1 person and the total price for 2 people is different. So, the price you see at the time of making the reservation is the final. We do not charge an additional amount for the single traveler.
We accept all major currencies such as USD, EUR, CAD, AUD, SGD, MYR, GBP, THB, CHF, JPY, HKD, etc. Credit card payments are accepted only in USD. We also accept bank transfers, direct remittance services (Western Union, Moneygram), etc.
February – May, and September – December are considered the best months for trekking in Nepal. This trekking is doable throughout the year however some months are better than others. June – August is monsoon season so there might be some rain showers in these months. It will be quite cold during December, January, and February.
The trek has free cancellation 30 days before departure. Any cancellations received within 30 days of departure will incur 15% cancellation fees.
We will be eating and sleeping in the lodges for the whole trek (Day 3 to Day 5). Generally, rice, noodles, pasta, vegetables, curry, potatoes, eggs, sandwich, burgers, etc. are available.
The lodges will have twin sharing rooms. In most cases, we will provide you a private room however in rare cases you may need to share the rooms with other travelers (especially if you are traveling alone).
In Kathmandu and Pokhara, we will accommodate you at 3-star category hotel with complimentary breakfast.
Very good question. This trek is designed for people with all fitness level. If you can walk 5-6 hours leisurely every day then there is no problem to join on this trek. It’s done by kids and people over 70 years as well. If you are not sure whether you are fit or not then please consult with our travel experts.
The trek is doable by families and people with small kids. We take bookings for people over 6 years old. Please consult with us if you have any confusions.
We have very experienced guides at the company. We have guides experienced for at least 7 years to 22 years. All our guides are Ministry of Tourism trained and licensed by Nepal Government.
This is completely tea house based trek hence we will be sleeping and eating in the lodges. In Kathmandu, we provide 3 start category hotel accommodation with breakfast and it will be standard lodges while on the trek. The lodges on the trek will be mostly shared bathroom / shared toilet while in 1/2 places we may provide you rooms with private toilet.
The meals on the trek will be mostly locally prepared using local ingredients most of the time. Kathmandu offers a wide selection of meals in basic to high standard luxury lounges. On the trek, the number of meal items will be limited to a small number.
This is an easy-level trekking route. This trekking can be done throughout the year however February to May and September to December are better months comparing to other months i.e. June, July, August, January, etc. During best months the sky is generally crystal clear, the views are breathtaking and the weather is lovely as well. March to April is the months of blossoming season of rhododendron and many other flowers which looks very beautiful lush of green forests. From October to December you will see more green forests in the area. As this is the ultimate adventure of your life we recommend you to plan the trek properly and during best months though Himalayan Leisure, Inc. will be able to arrange your trip throughout the year.
